FYI Mark, I received an unsolicited email (at the email address I use for eBay) from the same person this morning, via eBay's mail service. The particular email I received was fairly innocuous. Normally I just hit the Delete key and move on. But it does appear that the sender is touting his auctions via broadcast emails. Email reproduced below:
