Thanks for responding back. While I am relieved that it was not me I am sorry about the other guy. I have heard many stories of the pain in the *** that it is to get over one of these viruses. I have had to completely reformat and reinstall software etc. a few times myself. Not because of viruses but other things. Once I exceeded my entire HD capacity and blew the file structure to smithereens. It took weeks to get things back to normal.
You had me a little nervous as these viruses do get more and more insideous. I have been hearing about people getting them just from opening a website. The site got infected and one person opened it to get a Virus Alert from their McAfee. It is scary. I do not know if you have DSL or Cable Modem but I have heard from people who installed firewalls that they have been shocked with the reports of sometimes hundreds of daily attack attempts on their computers since they are online 24/7. As I understand, while we are online, surfing the web etc. there are people trying to put things on our computers or trying to take things off of them. Meanwhile we have no Idea. If you are a serious computer user, you may want a firewall software, if you do not already have one. I am a bit more casual of a user so I do not know if it is necessary. However, I am thinking about it as you can never be too safe.
