We just got back from two days in Las Vegas, and I've got to say it is an excellent time to visit. We were upgraded from a Mirage Tower Room to a suite and for once didn't have to bump into a thousand people on our way from the room to the buffet.
The hotels, stores and restaurants were so empty Thursday and Friday that it was scary. Things seemed to be picking up as the weekend got started, so maybe next week will be better for them.
It's understandable that the numbers should be down considering what's happened, but they're going to be hurting if things don't pick up pretty fast.
Personally, I've always thought the drive to the airport was the most dangerous part of air travel, and I still feel that way, even after September 11th.
