Not sure of the opening date or DD21. However it is accross from RIO or at least in that area. It is an awfully tall building and says PALMS down the side. Look in that direction and you should see it. Check here on The Chipboard as I know the Open date was mentioned before. Run a search for Palms or check the last Archives file and search that. I seem to recall someone mentioning November but their website, http://www.thepalmslasvegas.com/ says December 2001. Here is a photo that I took in June. You can see The Gold Coast in the back behind The Palms. This picture was taken from my Bath Tub at The Orleans. I took it from the open window so I wouldn't get the effect from the tinted window from the room. Orleans windows seem to give pictures sort of a browninsh cast.
