I was just wasting time, checking out auctions on eBay for "Elko NV" and I came up with a Monte Carlo Casino, Elko matchbook. Looking in the Gaming Table I see 1941.

Chips from that casino are listed as Commercial Hotel back until 1955. There are HCE chips for Monte Carlo ??? location.

Does anyone know of a Monte Carlo chip from Elko?

When did they change the name from Monte Carlo to Commercial Hotel? (although it was always Commercial Hotel, just the casino name changed)

Maybe I can put this on my hunting list for Elko when I go in the Spring to get next years Cowboy Poetry. You all know that's the real reason for my annual trip.
