LAS VEGAS -(Dow Jones)- National Airlines is offering $1 fares with the purchase of special discount return fares through its Get America Flying program.
The $1 fares are for travel originating on any of the next four Tuesdays beginning Sept. 25; the discount fares are for travel returning any day through Nov. 8. Coach return fares range from $24 to $99, and first-class return fares range from $124 to $499.

In a press release Wednesday, the company said it is trying to encourage a return to normal travel activity. National also said it will donate the $1 origination fare to its special employees fund for the families of the flight crews who perished in last Tuesday's terrorist attacks.

National Airlines serves Chicago's Midway, Chicago's O'Hare, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York's John F. Kennedy, Philadelphia and San Francisco airports with nonstop flights to and from its Las Vegas hub.
