My stepson is a volunteer fireman in Stafford Township New Jersey, and part of there search and rescue team. Tuesday morning he and his company were put on standby to go to New York. They remained on standby until late wednesday, wanting to help but waiting to be called. Wednesday afternoon they were told that the earliest that they might be needed was this coming Tueday. THEY WERE TOLD/ORDERED TO ATTEND THE WILDWOOD CONVENTION IF THEY HAD ALREADY PLANNED TO DO SO!!!! Maybe this is how they can grieve for their "brothers". Rest assured that they all went down with heavy hearts and with their cel phones and beepers on, ready to head north at a moments notice, Give these kids a break.
