Laugh, it might be the only humorous note in the past few days.

We had someone come in where we were eating and said, quick fill up, the gas is running out and the prices will be up to $5 or more, tomorrow morning.

I said, oh another scare. Gas travels by truck, not by plane. Anyone remember the peanut butter shortage, the coffee shortage, the toilet paper shortage, the battery shortage? Most were created by the panic over rumors. People with whole shopping carts full of TP was funny, and soon the stores were sold out. (ps same goes for Betty Boop chip which was produced in large enough numbers and simply hoarded.)

As for the lines at the gas pumps, by 9 PM, locally, some stations had shut down, none I saw had anything over the same price as in the morning, and all five I saw, had long lines of cars. State of WI protects re-marking prices of items that came in at a standard rate. Gasoline prices can only be changed once a day, by law. So the few that did try to price gouge got reported and will be dealing with the state.

So far it looks like all of us made it and no close members were in WTC 1 or 2 on that horrible day. That shall still be seen.

Just hoping for the best for all in the chipping community.
