I just did a quick search for WTC items and discovered that those that haven't been pulled by eBay have been bid up to wildly inflated prices by bidders with recently established usernames like "you-make-me-sick". Of course none of these bids will result in an actual sale, but will keep the seller from completing their transaction to an actual buyer (and increase their eBay fees for the listing if eBay doesn't catch them and cancel the sale) Looks like the eBay community has its own way of dealing with profiteers.
