When I posted my original post I was not aware that eBay had said that they would not allow the auctions of WTC items. You were right on that issue that it was inconsistant with their own policy that they had announced. I understand that they have now terminated those auctions and that is great. As I said, it may be a bit insensitive to sell these items at this time. Give people time to sort out their emotions and give them some space to grieve.
My thoughts go out to you and your friends. We have a neighbor who is an Exec. with Morgan Stanley. We were concerned for him and his family and were relieved early this morning to learn that he was not in NY at the time. This tragedy is so huge that it is going to percolate down to just about everyone in this country.
Like I said before, I was not aware of the nature of the item. A Calendar is not so offensive but as I said, $500 is insulting. That kind of profiteering has no purpose at this time.
I wish you the best and hope and pray that your friends are OK. I was literally sick all morning, yesterday, when I thought of the horrendous losses that were transpiring in front of my eyes. God Bless,
Bill
