Ok. So I guess your solution is to find the top people behind this plot (maybe 20-50 people), try them and put them in jail (don't ask, I know you're against the death penalty).

Rich, don't make the mistake of thinking you can read my mind. I make no claim to know the correct solution to the problem. I do believe that it should be carefully thought out, not a knee-jerk reaction. As to the death penalty, I am a supporter of it.

BTW, this situation involves religious fundamentalism. They will fight to the death. As you know, martyrdom is something these people are taught to aspire to. Do not make false comparisons. If your comparison was good one I would agree with you. The Japanese Empire was imperialistic. The people did not have a fundamental hatred of Americans like the Palestinians ad the other extremiss.

Go back and review your history. The Japanese practiced a religion which included "emperor worship." They believed when they gave up their lives for the Emperor they entered eternal life. The results were the same.
