I recently obtained two of these, one orange and one blue. They have a polished smooth finish, like glass. There were the first roulettes in play at the Grand and were used only for a short time as it was nearly impossible to push stacks of them across the roulette table without them falling over. They are extremely slick.
Is anyone aware of this type of Chipco ever being in use anywhere else?
Here is an enlargement of a portion of the chip. The blue dots you see are not a texture on the surface, they are what makes up the blue field.
