Does your information come from one of the old catolog advertisements from Mason, Evans, et al?
I really don't think there were such things as generic crest and seals. The scan below are all in my Generics section. I don't think any could be bought by the general public. I think they were all special orders. I believe you could by a 'similar' chip. However, USPC would not make an exact duplicate.
Now if I'm wrong and the "Florida Palms" or the "Sailing Ships" were actual generics, what were some of the other ones? I don't consider the, elk, moose, lion head, etc to be the same type chip as the florida palm.
The elk, moose, etc were, in my opinion, true generics. However I don't believe the Florida Palms were generics.
