I see no reason for the board to take action against the grading companies or anyone who wants to buy or sell graded chips. There is no evidence that it has ruined any hobby. Anyone not wishing to purchase a graded chip can simply just refuse to do so.
The grading companies and dealers like Sahara Coins are not doing anything illegal. They are simply providing a service, like anyone else is allowed to do. It's up to the individual collectors and investors whether they choose to use these services.
Just because a few people think this will ruin this hobby should not be a basis to ban these services. Suppose they are wrong? How do they know what is going to happen to this hobby? Should selling air tights and other supplies banned? Should web sites be banned? Should dealers be banned completely? Should printing price guides be banned? Of course not. These are all services provided to this hobby. It is simply up to each and every collector or investor as to whether he or she wants to use these services. No different with grading. Use it or not, but until they are proven to be doing something that is illegel, they should have the same chance to offer their services as anyone else has. Just because you are against it, doesn't mean they should be prevented from offing their services to others. Freedom of choice!
