Way too funny. MS67 coin, which can probably be found at a bank, $24.50 bid, while MS68 is offered for $125, no takers by the way.
Would this ever happen to chips? I think not, because most collectors wouldn't buy them, just like people are against slabbed chips, except non-chip collectors and people who buy for investment, and they aren't collectors either. Chips are just NOT coins.
Could it happen, I suppose that's what scares people. I sure agree about coins getting ruined. Bank notes are following close behind.
Why would anyone on the list worry about being buzzed in? You signed and promised not to deal with anyone who sells slabbed chips. Remember?
My main point of disagreement is not slabbing, but grading. Heck you can slab a $1 table chip, so what? You can easily break them out, if done properly. But that dang grading will kill any hobby.
My one problem with the "pledge" is the boycott of dealers.
