I agree that the seller is lying. However, many on this board would say that you should have politely emailed the seller to inform him of the "mistakes" he made in describing the chip.

I, however, don't agree. If he were honest, he would not have given the impression that he knows the whole story behind the chip. What he said about the chip was said with the sole purpose of inflating the final selling price. Since what he said is WRONG and is wrong TO HIS BENEFIT, I agree, he's a cheat.
