but I would almost NOT put any stock into much that Katz might say.
I don't know if you were around the message board in January of 2000. I posted this note regarding his claims...

I still seriously doubt if there are even 3,000 silver strike (I would say Silver Premium Token) collectors even today.
At the Santa Clara Coin show a couple of years back he claimed to have a large amount of $40 Treasure Islands and Rockettes tokens.
I wonder really just how many silver strikes he still has. He was doing a load of business on e-bay a long while back and I heard that he gave them up to someone else who began selling them on e-bay but still using the Katz name. Here's that link.

I only hope that this is only his "BIG WIND" and not a reality. However, I wouldn't put anything past him. After all he is/was a coin dealer and these slabs would be geared directly at the coin investors. But just how many $10 tokens do we have that are worth slabbing? I don't think his inventory would be that big in those that are. (OOP's I am forgetting all those RARE Pavarotti's he has!) However, I wonder just how they would be preceived by them since none would be true proof quality. And I seriously doubt any getting the upper MS grades.
Thanks again Dennis for your report on Katz.
