Wynn goes public with his plans for the Desert Inn

Former Mirage Resorts head Steve Wynn received approval late last week from the Clark County Planning Commission for his planned development on Las Vegas' old Desert Inn site -- which will tentatively include a 45-story mega-resort with 2,455 rooms in a 514-foot tower, 70,000 square feet of retail shops, 132,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, two showrooms, two chapels and a 120,000-square-foot casino.
