I was sitting box on a dead game a few years ago. A nice old couple came to the table and said they wanted to learn how to play. I asked them if they wanted the expensive lesson or the cheap lesson. They said the cheap lesson and gave gave me $40. They had some great rolls (just luck) and with my help, encouraging them to keep pressing their bets, they colored up $2,500 and tipped the dealers very nicely. As they walked away from the table, the old man said "Thanks for the cheap lesson". I smiled and said, "No Sir, that was the expensive lesson". He had no idea what I was talking about for some time.
