Rich, What you are talking about we refer to as "breakage". Buy the bet for $100 and you'll pay 5% vig. At the Horseshoe they used to charge juice only on winning buy bets, thus your $49 return. I don't know if they still do that, but a pretty good bet when they did. Jim
