HI DUKE! They are indeed open, and one runs ont eh North Dakota side under the name of Dakota Magic, the other on the South Dakota side, I believe, is called the Dakota Sioux. I have not encountered the chips in Deadwood ever, but do not doubt that they were there, as the casinos there change hands frequently it seems.
