Not much difference, bar the 12 or bar the two is the same. The odds are "to" one instead of "for" one, which is the same. Field wouldn't change with the 5 or 9.
The old layout has more boxes for hard ways. (9% and 11% house advantage, don't do it)
You are correct, nothing better or worse here.
By the way, there was an IL casino that had 3x on the 2 and 12, which brings the house advantage down to 2.7% from 5.5% making it the 4th best bet on the table. In order, Don't Pass / Don't Come = 1.40, Pass / Come 1.41, 6 or 8 = 1.52, Lay the 4 or 10 = 2.44. I won't get into taking odds, except to say, always do it!
