Well I don't know nothing about Nevada Law, since you are posting from NY I will point out out to you that in NY you are incorrect. You can be sentenced to a periodof incarceration and be required to pay restitution. Of course if you don't have assets and you are in prison it is hard earn any money to pay restitution.

In fact I believe (but I'm not certain) that under relatively recent changes in the law, victims may even be able to get restitution out of your prison accounts (you now that pay for making license plates).
