It all has to do with the money. I am sure that as a condition of his probation he will have to make restitution to the casino and ins. co. If he were to be sentenced to jail, no restitution could be ordered. Probation is a revokable sentence, if he screws up in any way, he is facing a lengthy prison re-sentence.
