They opened either right after or just before the Arrowhead Inn was raided in 1937. That date is in my Arrowhead columns on Chequers. Schmidt modeled BH after the Arrowhead. Plush and booked big stars.

The Cleveland Syndicate (owners of the Arrowhead) immediatly started their drive to take over BH. It took a few years but as you know, they succeded, right after Red Masterson burned BH.
