You are right! I LIKE animals, not LOVE, like. I LOVE my family. My family is more improtant to me than my dog. I would sell my house or car for my child, but NOT my dog!

If you have no children I can see how you would substitute an animal for a child or "children" as you say. They do seem to act human sometimes! (probably less than WE act like animals)
