My point in my post was that people would spend unrealistic money for pets; it was obvious that the vets here capitalized on it. Overpaying doesn't help the dog, just the vet. BUT it makes the owner feel warm and fuzzy (well, I guess the vet too!). Doesn't matter to the dog if there is a restaurant and multi-level gardens, he just feels bad. Judging by the cars in the lot, the vet careered to affluent people, more than sick dogs. I am sure he was a good vet, and I’m sure his clients had money to burn, so everything was in balance. My mother-in-law spent and will spend the money for the surgeries on the dog. Throwing down the price of a Jag on a pet is a bit much for me, but that’s just me. You, obviously are in a little higher tax bracket than me! LOL
