The description of the inside of the Arrowhead Inn, in my columns came from Danny Nason who was about 12 years old at the time. Looks like he was pretty close. The stage in your picture once had the big names in the enterainment field perform on it. The Arrowhead was the precursor for Bevery Hills in Newport.
Scanned is the envelope of a letter that Sam Nason, Danny's uncle. sent to his sister from the Arrowhead. I knew the date but can not make it out now. It was pre 1937. In the letter, Sam tells his sister to enjoy her visit to Houston and incloses a check for $100. His sister wound up staying in Houston. Sam continued sending money every month until his death, sometime in the early 1960;s. Actual date of Sam's death is in my columns. I have spoke to his sister's daughter. She is in her 70's and still working. She has Arrowhead chips and the Jack Todd chip cases they were shipped in.
