I have never been to a chip show or a convention to see what goes on. Therefore, I do not have the experience to say whether it is discussed anywhere else but here. What I have noticed though is that throughout most of the threads I have read I do not think I have ever read a PRO-SLAB post other than maybe a couple where people were just trying to get a reaction. I have read some posts where people do not seem as opinionated or militant on the issue but everything that can be viewed, as serious, has been ANTI-SLAB.
I read a few times here that during the last convention the slabbing companies were noticably ignored. That indicates to me that the Slab-Free movement is working. I do not agree with the previous statement though that the collectors here are making a bigger deal than the issue deserves or the insinuation that there is something wrong with giving slabbing such exposure. It may be that exposure and the big deal that is being made that is making slabbing appear more and more useless. That is why I, for one think it is unfortunate if people start pulling out of the convention and some shows. Without your presence the heat will deminish on the slabbers. With you all there they will have to deal with your input and opposition.
