I project with the changeover will come the biggest interest and salee of coins and notes the numismatic world has ever seen.
Just within our hobby, alone, there will be thousands of new chips, tokens; jetona and plaques to keep the International merchants/collectors busy for a very long time to come. Some of the American-based dealers are gearing up for this introduction which in my eyes will be the biggest monetary change of all time. A new world of chip collecting will be born and we get to see it right before our eyes with our very good friends in Europe who will be guiding us through the tour of a lifetime. I'm also sure The Netherlands will also continue leading the way with their "Special Edition" and dated material, too... as has Casinos Austria, who has been producing their "Special Issue" casino jetons since 1971.
I can't wait to see what the floor of the FUN Convention is going to be like on January 10-13, when the World's largest numismatic show will be welcoming numismatic merchants from around the world who will be offering uncirculated material seen for the very first time? The Austrian Mint, alone, has had beautiful exhibits in years past, and I'm sure we'll be in for a surpreise or two this coming January. I know I'll be there setting up my exhibits before the show opens... and I hope CC>CC will, too.
The Floridian Chapter will be planning a "Super Swap Weekend" along with nightly trips on Stering Casino.
Welcome Europa and welcome Euro.
