Maybe your WEBTV can't display it, John. Your sample:

has the euro sign following a square box after the word "like ". Also the euro sign preceeding the square box after the work "this ". It appears you can generate it, but you get a pair of characters, one of which is not displayable on the IBM PC screen, and shows up as the square box.

Greg has given you a way to generate it in a message. You probably still can't see it on your TV though. Do you see this?
