I don't believe a non-collector cares whatsoever how many of a particular chip is made. I do remember many years ago when I was at the Playboy Casino in Atlantic City, I pocketed one of those $1.00 chips because I liked it and wanted it for rememberance and for no other reason.

My reason for collecting chips has absolutely nothing to do with value. As a matter of fact, I shy away from the "valuable chips" and tend to collect the low value common LE's and house chips which, if I'm lucky, I might be able to retrieve my investment if I ever decided to sell.
