My eBay rating-o-meter rolled over to 3 digits today, a little less than 4 years after I first began using the service. Many thanks to the 1000 different individuals who took the time to post feedback on our 1600+ transactions over that time.

I believe I've bought quite a bit more than I've sold, but eBay doesn't give us an easy way to determine that in the feedback count.

The eBay phenomenon has amazed many and addicted many more, particularly in the collectibles area. I know I spend much less time wandering the antique malls and flea markets than before discovering the on-line auction facilities many of us now enjoy. Something is lost in the personal contact with other collectors, but in terms of finding something of interest, or connecting with another who needs your collectible, there's nothing to compare with the efficiency of the on-line auction.

Goodbye purple star, hello red star...
