Michael; I think that the term "slot card" is a generic one... much like "band-aid". Alomg similar lines ..... chips and cheques are interchangeable terms among many collectors. Marv Weaver will tell you that "silver strikes" are also a misnomer.... Silver Premium Token (SPT)is the more formal name. Perhaps a more accurate term for these popular cards would be "Players Cards". Some of these earlier cards were issued for check cashing privileges also.
