Bob,
I received the virus the first time a few days ago. Norton did not catch it. Fortunately, I did not open it. I use Eudora and the file remains as an attachement, unopened, until I open it. I deleted it because it LOOKED like a virus to me.
I have since recieved it 3 more times, including once this morning, and Norton caught it every time. I assumed that my NAV files were updated sometime after the first time.
Good luck getting it off your laptop. Let me suggest a possible way.
1) remove the hard drive from the laptop
2) temporarily add it to your desktop system
3) transfer the data files that you wish to save from your laptop drive to your desktop drive
4) install the drive back in your laptop
5) delete everything, reformat and start over
At least this way you save your data file.
