A while back I mentioned that I thought USPC may have stopped making crest and seals around 1940. I think it was you that mentioned 1946 citing the chip below. This chip has cross-hatching on the rim and is smooth in the center.

I would have thought this to be a Burt chip. Burt did make c&s in the early 40s.

What do you think?
