This has nothing to do with NIS not being able to take care of their customers, this is about low issue releases. They hurt locals as much as those of us who rely on NIS.
It seems to me to be wrong to blame the casinos. The blame belongs with us collectors who insist on placing value on these artificial rarities.
We need to just decide that these are not something we want to collect and leave them in the cages.
This applies not just to Palace Station, but to all the low issue releases whether from HR, O'Shea's, or anywhere else.
I can't help but think back to something Warwick Stone said (I can't remember if it was at the 2000 convention or in a CB post) -- He said that HR was experimenting and trying to find the right number to keep collectors happy and still maintain value on the secondary market.
It has always bothered me that to think that the Casino cares about the value of their chips on the secondary market. This leads me to believe that they also are directing some of these chips into the hands of insiders so that they can make a buck (and from what's been said here 4 Queens doesn't seem to frown on that practice).
