What you said is true. Ken also said that he would let the market make the choice, that he is still neutral about the issue. He just thought the slabbed anti slabbing chip was funny. No lives are threatened, or anything serious.
There are aspects of the collecting I don't care for-- autographed chips, numbered chips, and chips being sold over face by the casino. But I'm not "at war" over my issues.
Oh, and I don't need slabbed chips. But I would buy one at a value I respected. Perhaps to let the chip FREE from it's binding. I can't pledge not to buy one.
