Make sure the book you got is the revised 1998 edition. The earlier 1985 edition is interesting, but lacks most of the clay codes, and the coding system itself was completely revamped in 1998.
I happen to sell new copies of both the soft cover and hard cover versions on my web site, if your library discard is the older edition. :)
Your photo is too dark to see some of the designs, but top row center is PM-EG Crown, then PM-FJ Prince of Wales in two colors (top and bottom row), and a PD-TA Two Rings.
Values on single chips is not much, maybe $ .50 - $1.00, if that. These are all common designs, with the Two Rings being the scarcest, worth perhaps $3-$4
