I used to work with the UAW several automotive assembly plants when I was a Maintenance Supervisor. The best part about the union was when you walked over to the union steward and told him: "Joe over there keeps screwing up. YOU had better tell him that if it keeps up he will be fired!" It was fun to watch the stewards go over to the employee and work for managements wishes.
