Nor is it worth of the grief involved by people going on strike and losing their jobs by doing so Archie. $8.60/hour is a heck of a good starting training wage. $13/hour is above the average wage nation-wide, paid with benefits, and it is job that doesn't require a great deal of skill or knowledge.
...maybe I'll never get it. Personal performance should be rewarded based upon on-the-job performance by each individual. Efforts by labor unions to level the playing field for all of their members slights talented people and rewards less capable people. That's not fair. Not only is it not fair, its discouraging to the talented people. ...maybe nost of them figure that out early on and they run for union elected offices!
I'm not trying to start a fight with you Archie. We established long ago that we have differing opinions on this subject.
...but I can't let outdated labor rhetoric influence young people entering the workforce without offering a differing opinion.
