Rich, there were MANY and I mean MANY prototypes made for Caesars, many of them out there. The $1 chip I show in my scan is just one of them.While Robert's chip has the similar inserts to the $5, the base color of the chip seems to me to be too close to the $5. The one I show even though notched, does seem to show some table wear. The base color too, is closer to the white most commonly used for $500 chips in Nevada at the time. I've seen a $500 Caesars w/Caesar holding scroll chip and it was white. I guess we'll never know for sure unless we find and old time Caesars dealer who could remember exactly what was on the tables back then.
