Before this gets too far out of hand and spoils everything, let's just remember that Bill Akeman started the super bowl show tradition. Bill's Gaming Times business continued every year for five years until Arizona Charlie's decided to close the show room for remodeling.
Not knowing when the construction would be finished furthur shows could not be scheduled.
As it turned out the call came one week after another show had been announced, so the decision was made to just pass on last years event and start up again in 2001-2002. Waiting until after the main convention was over to announce future plans and dates.
