According to Alan Hess' wonderful book "Viva Las Vegas" the exact same scene is pictured with the caption: "Memories of the original Flamingo were swept away by the dazzling 1953 remodel, often mistakenly referred to as the original." There are also pictures of the original Flamingo without the champagne tower.
