I understand. The problem is that if you make a post and and I respond to it, and then you edit it, you can make my response be either incorrect, irrelevent, or inappropriate.

For example say your were to make a post praising another Chipper. I see the post and respond that I agree with everything you said about him.

Now you come back and edit your post to say that the other guy is Pond Scum.

Anyone else you comes along will think that I agree that he is Pond Scum while in fact that was not what I posted.
