"Gene Trimble.
The Fiesta put out many chips with Former Athletes on them, How many got paid or compensated for it???
Marc is correct. All of them.
Entertainers and other celebrities are not crazy. If you use their picture or name, you will pay them. Chip distributors will not produce a chip without a signed release from the person on the chip.
They would not produce the Regent's recent release of the Memphis Belle/Dauntless Dotty chips until I found a picture of the planes, that I would sign a release on, stating the pictures were not copywritten.
They were airplanes that were close to 60 years old. Never did find a Belle picture, that I could vouch for. The Belle on the chip was a B17 named FiFi. It belonged to the Confederate Air Force. They signed the release and we added the Belle nose logo and ID numbers, which Colonel Robert Morgan had a signed release to use the original artwork. The Dotty was a shot taken on Saipan, by a private individual, in the 40's, before the Dotty crashed into the sea.
One chip distributor was sued and lost, over an airplane picture they used on a Reno air race chip. Distributors are very gun shy after that one.
Get me Buffets name on a chip release, and I will do the chip!!!!!!!
