I seem to remember these "chips" showing up in one of the early club auctions when there was a reserve on lots. I don't think they sold then because they didn't meet the reserve. If memory is correct, Howdy had consigned them on behalf of someone. I inquired about purchasing the Dean Martin chip after the auction but passed because of the price. $350 each I think.

The reason for the good recall is my mother-in- law is the world's biggest Dean Martin fan. Ann and I were going to give her the chip. If it wasn't this exact chip, it was close. I will look in the old auction catalogs and post the results of the search. I was told they were in fact prototypes or samples back then.
