... I've said this several times in the past. I also feel that "rarity" should not be a point factor (consideration) in rating exhibits.
Some rating schedules carry as many as 10 points when rarity is considered (judged) in the number of pieces believed to exist (not value, though). Such a rating can acare collectors in entering competitive exhibits.
I feel, in the case with gaming pieces, that an exhibit's information, originality, attractivness; balance and perhaps even completeness are all that's needed for a sharp and interesting (and basic) exhibit.
