Couldn't agree more with Pete's reasoning, which is one reason I happen to own the same camera.

And now, true to form and after a lengthy absence from the ChipBoard, a few rather obnoxious notes regarding this thread:

a) Avoid Sony cameras. They're big, they break, and with the exception of the ones with Zeiss opticals, don't get the highest quality pictures. I work for them - I get a very nice employee discount - I bought a Canon. Stands to reason than when buying a camera, you'd want one produced by a camera maker, not an electronics (or film) manufacturer.

b) There are no apostrophes in plurals.

c) One WHETS one's appetite... not wets.
