... telling you a few things you should have been able to determine for yourself.
1st: Robert Pardue's membership number is LM-03. Not only one of the founders of the club, but also a life member. There are few chip collectors ANYWHERE whose opinions carry more weight with the majority of our club members.
2nd: There was nothing antagonistic about his post regarding your auction. He stated facts (regarding the previous sale of the chip) and an opinion about its possible resale (an opinion which appears well-founded, considering the results of your auction).
3rd: He had every right to remind everyone about the previous sale of the chip. One of the primary uses for this board is to SHARE INFORMATION which might be useful to chip collectors (particularly with respect to rarity, pricing, etc.).
4th: This Bulletin Board is a free-for-all of chip offerings, historical information and personal opinions. If you are going to post here regarding chips you are offering for sale, you should expect comments to be made by others. If you don't like or want anyone saying anything about your auctions, don't announce them here.
5th: Making enemies here is not a good way to increase your chip sales or the selling prices of your auctions. Your willingness to come here and discuss your auctions (and rating system) was a smart move. This exchange with Robert Pardue was not.
And those are just my opinions, but I'll take a wild guess and say most other chip collecting regulars will agree with all or most of them, particularly the 1st.
